About Us

Philip K. Barone

Philip K. Barone, B. A., Climatologist and Weather Forecaster.  Secretary and Treasurer of  Environmental Science & Energy, Inc.  Climatologist, Weather Forecaster, and Expert Witness of Associated Science Experts, LLC and other meteorological companies.

More than 15 years of professional experience in climatology, weather forecasting, tornado and severe storms photography, forensic meteorology, forensic sciences team administration, research meteorology and climatology, business development, and office management.

EDUCATION. Phil Barone earned a B.A. in Geography, with emphasis in Climatology, from California State University, Northridge, studying under the late Dr. Arnold Court and other professors.

EXPERIENCE.  From July 1998 through June 2004, Mr. Barone was the Business Development Director and a Climatologist of Continental Weather & Earth Sciences, Inc.  He was responsible for the preparation of most of the Daily Weather Planner forecasts and specialized weather forecasts for the film industry, family festivals, farmers' markets, power companies, and other special applications.

Mr. Barone was responsible for marketing and business development of these weather forecasts, the long-range weather outlooks, and the climatic research and studies and other services of  Continental Weather & Earth Sciences, Inc.  He worked closely with attorneys and the insurance industry, and assisted Dr. Charles B. Pyke in coordinating the services of various experts on the litigation cases for which the company provided forensic discovery and testimony.

CURRENT AFFILIATIONS.  Mr. Barone now heads his own meteorological business, which provide weather forecasts, forensic meteorology and hydrology, and other meteorological services.  He is in charge of, and prepares many of, his company's Daily Weather Planner forecasts, plus specialized forecasts for Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, the film industry (numerous major feature films and many commercials), agriculture, construction, power companies, family festivals, farmers' markets,  and special events such as the Academy Awards, the Emmys, the Kennedy Centre Honors, Christmas in Washington, the Super Bowl and other National Football League games, the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl, BCS Championship, Boston Fourth of July Fireworks, the Democratic National Convention, and the Presidential Inauguration.  He is a major participant in that company's severe storms photography program.   He is also a Climatologist, Weather Forecaster, and Expert Witness of  Associated Science Experts, LLC.

Mr. Barone is an official Weather Spotter for the National Weather Service and is a member of the American Meteorological Society and California Weather Association.

PRESENT AND FUTURE PLANS.  Philip K. Barone continues as a weather forecaster, research climatologist, as  he works with Meteorologist and Principal Scientist,  Dr. Charles B. Pyke, in building and expanding their companies

In addition, as Secretary, Treasurer, and Climatologist of  Environmental Science & Energy, Inc., Mr. Barone is working with Dr. Pyke, plus Timothy E. Wright, Dr. William J. Trott, Paul Braden, and others in the:

Development of new-technology tidal and ocean wave energy for communities in coastal regions worldwide.

Development of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and other renewable energy for individual homes, farms, schools, and businesses worldwide.

Development of the latest-technology scientific instrumentation.

Determination of construction defects, foundation failures, and seismic and landslide hazards

Provision of climatic, meteorological, hydrologic, seismic, landslide, coastal, and ocean data, plus precise, pinpoint data interpolation to specific locations, as well as detailed expert data analysis.

Protection and restoration of beaches, ports, harbors, marinas, seawalls, piers, and docks, plus lagoons, marshes, wetlands, and coral reefs.
